MOHAI
6:30 – 9:00 pm
Voting Meeting

Please note that the meeting will begin promptly at 6:30pm, so please arrive early and find your seats by 6:25pm, so we can start immediately. The social portion of the evening will be held during the Placement Fair, starting at 7:30pm.

As always, voting is mandatory, so if you are unable to attend the meeting, please reach out to the JLS office at askus@jrleagueseattle.com  for your link to vote online.  Online voting will be open from Friday, April 6th and will close at noon on Tuesday, April 17th . Please ensure to vote during this timeframe, or attend and vote in person, to avoid the $50 fine.

The voters guide can be found at http://www.jrleagueseattle.org/?nd=apr_vg_2012 .   Please spend a few minutes to review the motions ahead of our meeting, which will include our budget for 2012-2013.

Be sure to stop by the Cookbook Committee table at the April General Meeting. Not only will Simply Classic, Seattle Classic and Celebrate the Rain be available for sale, but we will again have cookbooks from Junior Leagues across the country.

Whether buying books for yourself, as Mother’s Day gifts, or to share with friends and family, these gourmet award winners shouldn’t be missed. We will be selling Knoxville’s Dining in the Smokey Mountains, Clearwater-Dunedin’s From Grouper to Grits, Pine Bluff’s Southern Accent: A Second Helping, and Eugene’s Cooking from the Coast to the Cascades.

New books are in from Tulsa, OK (Oil and Vinegar), Madison, WI (Mad About Food) and the star from the Bay Area, San Francisco’s centennial cookbook San Francisco Entertains. Houston’s Peace Meals and Stop and Smell the Rosemary are back by popular demand. For the budding cooks in your family, we have Junior Leagues in the Kitchen with Kids. So ladies, be sure and pick up your books early in the evening. Many sold out in December as soon as the boxes were opened.

San Francisco Entertains is on sale for $35, Peace Meals is on sale for $30.00. All other books are $20.00. These books make great gifts. Don’t miss this opportunity to add a new book or two to your cookbook collection.
